Pacific Coast Highway
In 2001, I travelled over 3,000 miles along the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1) and Highway 101. This gallery shows some of the 4,000 pictures that I took.
I started the journey in London from where I flew to Los Angeles. I took my car south to the mission of San Juan Capistrano and to the beginning of Highway 1 (PCH). I travelled every single mile of the PCH along the Pacific coast. A few detours inland, including the Danish village of Solvang and later Crater Lake, were included but always in such a way that I returned to the same spot on PCH where I left it.
When Highway 1 ends, merging with 101, I followed this road along the coast, through Oregon and Washington states to Seattle and eventually Vancouver, B.C.
